Zombie Comedy

Eugene, a beaver trucker, picks up Linda, a wolf hitchhiker, in what should be a routine job. But when Eugene hits a skunk with voodoo powers, the mysterious mephit casts a dark spell that reanimates the dead bodies buried in the graveyard the trucking company was built on.

Scene Description

In the following scene, Eugene has taken Linda to one of the company's many garages, where he comes up with a plan to help trap the zombies clawing for them outside.

                                                        Eugene                                                    

                                                        All right! Now we're getting somewhere! All we gotta do is bait these trucks, open them up, then shut the doors when the zombies are inside.                                                    

                                                        Linda                                                    

                                                        What are we using as bait?                                                    

                                                        Eugene                                                    

                                                        Well, uh—us.                                                    

                                                        Linda                                                    

                                                        That's your plan?                                                    

                                                        Eugene                                                    

                                                        Now see, listen here, these trucks have got a port in the back for accessing the cab. So I figure one of us waits in the cab while the other opens the hangar doors then gets in the trailer. The zombies come, once they're inside, the one in the cab shuts the doors, and the bait crawls through the port, closes the hatch. And just like that. Truck full of zombies.                                                    

                                                        Linda                                                    

                                                        Great plan. Let me guess. You're in the cab?                                                    

                                                        Eugene                                                    

                                                        Well, uh. Being as you're a wolf and much faster runner than a beaver like me—                                                    

                                                        Linda                                                    

                                                        You can't fit in the hatch, can you?                                                    

                                                        Eugene                                                    

                                                        No, miss.                                                    

                                                        Linda                                                    

                                                        Fine.                                                    

                                                        Eugene                                                    

                                                        Great! All right, let's just open her up.                                                    

                                                        SFX                                                    

                                                        [OPENING TRAILER DOORS]                                                    

                                                        SFX                                                    

                                                        [ZOMBIES GROANING]                                                    

                                                        SFX                                                    

                                                        [SHUTTING TRAILER DOORS]
