Ichabod Crane gets transported to the 21st century from the American Revolution. He gets accompanied by a detective, Scott Davenport, who has seen the Horseman with his eyes and wants to know the truth behind Sleepy Hollow. With Ichabod's assistance, they travel across the Northeast territories for clues and relics.
Frustrated with his treatment shortly after arriving in the 21st Century, Ichabod sneaks away from Scott to experience the era on his own. Scott's fear at losing Ichabod is short-lived as it's hard to miss the old-timey raccoon. And after getting a chance to see the world around him, Ichabod is finally ready to explain his plan to Scott.
When the drought runs too long, a village of coyotes grows desperate. An old coyote cry says a gift of silver and turquoise brought to the top of Arizuma mountain will bring skywater. Carol is the only adult without pups, so she reluctantly takes on the challenge to climb the mountain with the village's last riches. She understands little about the old magic she's tasked to summon, leaving her having to trust the absent-minded and disconnected ringtail who joins her on her journey.
Waking up from a nap early in her trip up Arizuma mountain, Caroline discovers Milton rummaging through her bag. She immediately pegs the ringtail as being a thief, even though he doesn't run when the coyote wakes up. As a lonely mountain shaman, Milton is delighted at finding a new muzzle, but can't bring himself to wake up the sleeping coyote. To him, the bag is a way to learn more about the mountain's new guest. And a way to get some delicious raisins.
Gabriel works at a newspaper conglomerate as an overworked but talented typesetter for the classified ads. Straight as an arrow, a bit OCD, but otherwise the Irish Setter is a good solid worker and a great guy to hang out with. Until he falls head over heels for a new mailworker, a siamese cat named Carlene. Swooning over her, he wracks his brain thinking of ways to win her over, until he comes across a personals ad *SHE* placed. Hatching a scheme to woo her, he replies as an alias, "Eduardo", and the two hit it off with written communication but soon starts mixing up his information with his alter ego as things proceed to real life work and dating encounters. Can Gabe keep all the balls juggling, or is it too late to come clean and hope for the best?
Despite Gabriel's efforts, Kialo's curiosity leads him to finding out about the woman his best friend wants to pursue. Gabriel may be annoyed, but he's caught and figures he might as well ask Kialo for help, despite knowing the kiwi will be a combination of jealous and vain.
